Nacha Resham Ankle Bells (Pair)
Ghungroos are a musical accessory tied to the feet of classical Indian dancers. They are worn just above the ankle and allow the audience to fully appreciate the rhythmic aspects and complex footwork of the dance. These Ghungroos are great for a variety of dances and they are widely used in competitive bhangra as well as classical Indian traditions and dances, most notably Kathak. Traditionally as dancers grow older and their technical abilities improve, more and more bells are added and can count greater than 200 on a single string. These pretty and functional Fair Trade Ghungroos have a set of ten bells fixed to a thick padded strap lined with a soft velvet for added comfort and sturdy thick cotton 'rope' for tying.
